A Short Story

Last night before bed we were all sitting on the couch. I was really tired, and of course Ryland had only been awake a few minutes from her long evening nap. So she was up and ready to go, and Champ and I were not. That is when this short and sweet conversation took place...

Champ to Ryland: "are you ready to go to bed?"

Ryland: "no, I just want to hang out with you guys, I just want to hang out all together"







Now that this little lady can say just about anything, she melts our hearts daily. On a side note, just the other day she surprised me with knowing right from left, and today she put on her own pants and boots. Man, she is growing up!

Flying Ryland

I realize that I have been slacking a little on writing blog posts about Ryland. Most likely my lack of posts is due to the fact that Ryland is keeping me very busy. She is full of questions, funny statements, and cute smiles. Later this week I will post some pictures from our trip to Kentucky. But until then, I thought I'd share with you how wonderful she did on the airplanes. She really only got upset twice. She did better than I could have imagined. Man, I was so happy she was happy :)

Vacation time!

This has been a very very busy week so far. Saturday morning involved waking up at 3:30 to go to the airport. Ryland did exceptionally well on the airplane, which I was so very happy about. We have visited so many family and friends so far, and it has been so much fun! We still have a few more days to go. Once we get home, I will post many more pictures. We have some pretty good ones :)

Sleepy girl

I remember the days not so long ago when people would ask me "is she sleeping through the night?". I can remember being annoyed by the question because she woke up in the middle of the night, but it didn't really bug me. Yes, I was tired, but I loved waking up with her. I know it sounds crazy, but those are the times I will cherish forever.

These days, however, Ryland is quite the sleeper. She doesn't make a peep all night...however, she does get her self into some crazy sleeping positions. All I have to say is...like mother, like daughter.
