On May 15, 2009 at 8:52 pm, Ryland Paisley Cook joined our family. Since that very moment, each day with her has been the best day of our lives. We have never loved anyone so much! Until...little Natalie Taylor Cook arrived on April 7, 2013 at 2:02am! Our daughters mean the world to us.

My Little Model
As you may know, I have been in a hair clip making world lately. I've also been learning to crochet and have proudly made Ryland a few hats. I have a little shop online for selling these items, and Ryland is my little model. She loves to play with all the hair clips I make, as if they are little toys. I can assure you that in the near future she will be making her own hair clips. If you want to check out my site go here: www.etsy.com/shop/peteypiefarms

Monster Eyes!
My last blog post featured a picture of Ryland's so called "Monster Eyes". Well, here is a video of what I am talking about. She has a cookie monster stuffed toy with big silly eyes on it. Champ started trying to imitate it's crazy eyes one day, and ever since then, "monster eyes" has been a part of our daily activities. So funny!

Lipstick Lady
On a side note, Ryland is getting close to sentences, and it seems like every day she wakes with a 100 new words in her vocabulary. The other day she looked at me and said "probably, that means?", and I said "what does probably mean?" and she said "talk about it". Apparently she wanted me to tell her what probably means, and I just wasn't sure how to define the word to a 20 month old. I also asked he what she wanted to do for Valentine's day and she said...ballet (she is definitely my daughter).

Drawing Machine
Well, I knew this day would come, eventually, and here it is! Ryland is in love with drawing. Yesterday, I'm pretty sure she spent the majority of her day scribbling on paper. When she's not drawing herself, she is usually asking one of us to draw something for her...her requests can be quite funny: "scarecrow Claus", "Da da Claus", "TiVo", "draw Michael" (as in Michael Jackson), and so on. I would say her favorite thing to have drawn is a snowman. Turns out she is going to be just like me in the drawing department. That was what I spent most of my time doing, and I'm happy to know she likes it too!
