Ryland's new found freedom

Ryland is becoming quite the adventurous little girl! Now that she is crawling, she wants to go everywhere! As you can see from these pictures...Ryland has made it all around the house! She was busy with dad, diggin' in his toolbox...and always seems to escape from me after getting out of the bath. It's unbelievable, but she is getting cuter. Yes, I said it, Ryland is getting cuter...can you believe it? Her smile seems to be changing, she has added a crinkled up nose to that already beautiful smile. Champ and I cannot believe that we love her so much, what an amazing feeling!

Ryland's first wedding

Last Thursday, Ryland attended her first wedding. My friend from high school, Staci, was getting married, and Ryland was, no doubt, on the guest list! It was a small wedding, and Ryland seemed to love it! She enjoyed eating the food, and smiling at all the guests. Once the dj started playing music, Ryland was ready for bed. So Champ rocked her to sleep, and she slept the rest of the reception, and all the way home. Overall, Ryland did so well at the wedding, and it's a good thing, because we have two more wedding to attend in September and October. One of which she is going to be a flower girl in!

On a side note, Ryland has been fighting an ear infection since Friday. Poor thing has had a fever, and wants to do nothing but nurse and sleep. Today, she has been a little bit happier, and has a little more energy, but my prediction is that it is going to be a very long week...since we have to give her liquid antibiotics twice a day, and she dislikes them very very much!

Loving the music!

Visiting with my dad is always fun for Ryland because he is always playing music for her, and as we all know...Ryland loves music and dancing! She keeps adding more and more dance moves into her repitoire! She loves music in the car now, and tries to dance to it while strapped into her carseat. We think she loves most all music, but we know for sure that she loves the country classic music channel. This is probably because my mom always had this channel on when Ryland was a newborn...it always seemed to cheer her up!

Spring is here!

Yesterday, the whole family went out to a nursery near our house, and bought some flowers to put in our front yard! Ryland, sat on a blanket with her toys, and enjoyed the sunshine. She also cralwed her way to the grass, and tried to eat some dried up leaves! She really seemed to love being outside in the warm breeze. She enjoyed it so much that she took it upon herself to take a long nap outside. We can't imagine how fun this summer is going to be with her! She is becoming such a wonderful handful!

Crawling baby!

For the last several weeks, Ryland has been trying really hard to crawl, and now she finally figured it out! She has been cruising around the living room today, getting into everything. She took advantage of her new mobility, and opened my dresser drawer. Let's just say she had fun throwing my clothes on the floor. I don't think she's is that far away from being able to stand on her own. She will soon be wanting to run around the house!

More Dancin' Ryland

Just when we thought Ryland had shown us all her moves, we were treated to several new ones. She has a strange sense for when the songs begin, and as soon as she hears the first notes, her head begins to bob! Then if she really likes the music, she starts to shake her hips and do her version of "the twist". Another new move that she started tonight involves her whole body doing a shimmy, if you watch carefully you 'll see! We sure are lucky to have such a fun loving dancing little girl!

Standing RP

Ryland has been pulling herself up to standing a lot lately. She always wants to be standing. She still isn't crawling, but keeps acting like she is going anyday now. However, know that she knows how to stand, we are unsure if she will crawl or walk first. It's pretty cute to see her standing up, she looks like such a big girl!

Could this get better?

Everyday Champ and I spend a lot of time talking about how much we love our sweet little girl. We keep thinking "man, this is sooo awesome!", and then we ask ourselves, "could this possibly get any better?". Then, we wake up the next day, and realize that it does get better and better. Each day we seem to love Ryland more. We love her so much.

We took her to the zoo this weekend, and it was so beautiful outside! We sat on the grass at the zoo, and ate a few snacks. Ryland loved the sunshine!

She has been doing so many new things lately. Dancing, trying to snap, trying to pull her self up to standing, reaching out for things, etc. She is so amazing!

Tonight we bundled up and took a little stroll before dinner. We thought Ryland looked pretty cute so we had to take a few family pictures.

Bouncin' to the music

Ryland is loving music lately. She has lots of toys that play little songs, and every time she hears them she bobs her head up and down. We caught her on video tonight, and it is so adorable! We think she definitely has rhythm!
