A few seconds before I took this video Natalie was splashing like crazy. So this, to me, is a much calmer version of her taking a bath. She loves to play in the water with all her bath toys. I'm pretty sure her favorite part is that she can splash and kick the water. She's gotten so big now that she won't even lay back in the baby bathtub. I guess pretty soon we can transfer her to the big tub, which I think she will love.
On May 15, 2009 at 8:52 pm, Ryland Paisley Cook joined our family. Since that very moment, each day with her has been the best day of our lives. We have never loved anyone so much! Until...little Natalie Taylor Cook arrived on April 7, 2013 at 2:02am! Our daughters mean the world to us.

Today Ryland and Natalie had a little photo shoot at home. And by photo shoot, I mean I set out a bunch of Christmas wrapping stuff and let the girls play. These are just a few shots I got with my phone. Natalie had a blast playing with the paper, bows and boxes, and Ryland and I loved watching her explore and have fun. We had to be careful keeping the stuff of out her mouth, since everything she touches she wants to eat. I have a feeling this girl is going to like Christmas. Or at least the wrapping paper that comes along with it.

Updates!
Happy Natalie in the snow. I'm not sure she really understood what was going on, since the snow wasn't even falling by the time we went outside. However, she liked sitting in it and picking up the leaves. It was pretty difficult to snap these pictures because she was constantly trying to grab things on the ground.

Here she is eating dinner. She has now added quite a few foods to her diet. She loves beans, avocado, peas, sweet potato, cooked apple, potatoes, brown rice, and Cheerios. She is a very good eater. She is always wanting to try whatever we are eating.

In the past few weeks Ryland has been lucky enough to go to the movies twice! Both times were to see Frozen. Once with me and our friends, and then we liked it so much that we had to take Champ. Ryland has been listening to the soundtrack constantly and is already memorizing the songs.

Here are the Cook sisters sitting in our very small amount of snow. But, hey, in Vancouver, any amount of snow counts. I can't get over how big these girls are getting. Natalie turned 8 months today, and Ryland will be 5 in just 5 months. Love these girls to pieces!

Last week we were finally able to sit Natalie in the shopping cart at the grocery store. I remember Ryland's first time riding in the cart at Target, and how happy she was. I assumed Natalie would be just as happy, and she was! She was all smiles while we were shopping, and kept kicking her legs and waving her arms. It was incredibly adorable.
She also has started eating foods more and more. Her favorites are apples, oatmeal, avocado, and Cheerios. Her little hands are always grabbing for my food, as if she wants to try everything. It's so fun watching her learn and try new things.

Halloween
This years Halloween was very fun. Ryland surprisingly picked out her costume early, and I was able to buy/make parts of it. Champ and I brought back our costume of the past, Thing 1 and Thing 2, which we had been back in college. Although, our costumes were upgraded this time. Ryland was one of her favorite characters, The Cat in the Hat. And Natalie was Fish! We got many compliments on our costumes throughout the day, and Ryland loved that we were all dressed up. Later in the evening, we of course went trick or treating, and got tons of candy. Ryland pretty much prefers the m&m's. She has barely touched much of the other stuff. I think we even still had a few pieces of candy left in the cupboard from last Halloween.

Pumpkin patch
Yesterday we took the girls to the Pumpkin Patch. It was one we had never been to before, and we had a blast. Ryland was especially pleased with their bounce house and kiddy train rides. We spent 5 whole hours there, and Ryland still did not want to leave. We picked out pumpkins, toured the farm on a wagon, ate some kettle corn, made our way through a corn maze and much much more. It was a beautiful sunny day well spent. Ryland was wishing to go back when we got home. I love seeing such joy and happiness in her eyes. I can't imagine how much fun both girls will have next year!

Teeth!
Natalie is 6 months tomorrow. Where has the time gone, and how is this possible? She recently started cutting a tooth, which has been a long time coming. I feel like she has been drooling since the day she was born. Anyways, her bottom right tooth finally popped up a couple days ago. It's still hard to see, but you can definitely feel it. I can't wait to see those two cute bottom teeth when she smiles.
Here's a couple pictures of the girls wearing matching outfits. Ryland was very excited about wearing these. The look on her face says it all.
