Meeting Baby Aviley

My best friend's baby was born this weekend! It was perfect timing since I had a three day weekend, and was able to be there for the birth. Baby Aviley was born on May 28, just 13 days after Ryland's birthday (which is silly since Aviley's mom, Shannon, was born just 13 days after my birthday). Ryland loved meeting the little baby that we have been talking about for months. She even helped Champ change one of baby Aviley's first diapers, and kept giving her kisses too. It's so incredible to see such a small baby. Ryland seems so grown up now.

Time with Dad

Well, now that I am working, Champ and Ryland have tons of time together, and I'm pretty sure they are having a blast! Last week they spent a lot of time in the garden, and even had nice enough weather to use Ryland's new sidewalk chalk. While I'm busy at work, Champ usually sends me pictures of Ryland throughout the day, which I love!

Terrific Two's!

Turns out all those things people say about the "terrible two's" are somewhat untrue. Yes, Ryland is learning to throw a few temper tantrums here and there, but she is easily distracted and they don't last long. Pretty much, like I've always said...it just keeps getting more and more fun.

Happy Birthday!

Ryland is 2! She had her birthday party today and had a blast with all her friends. She even sang the whole alphabet without any mistakes for several of her party guests. Ryland got so many great presents from everyone, and is now sleeping like a baby. I feel so lucky to have such an amazing little girl.

As I was just sitting down to put up some pictures on the blog, Ryland came up to me and said "I love you momma, i'm hugging you". Wow, apparently she knows just what to say to melt her momma's heart. Anyways, I just realized that I forgot to put up pictures from Ryland's Easter morning at home. Since it was raining (big suprise, huh?), we had a little Easter egg hung inside the apartment for her. She, and we, had a blast :)

Ring Around the Rosie

Ryland favorite new game is 'Ring around the Rosie', and as you can see from the picture, she is good at convincing others to play it with her. Her favorite part is when you say "we all fall down". She likes to watch others fall while she stands and smiles.

A Perfect Day

It's a perfect day for a walk to the park.

It's a perfect day to sing "We're off to see the Wizard" with Ryland while walking to the park.

It's a perfect day to play ball at the park.

It's a perfect day to lay in the grass and take a picture with the sun in your eyes.

It's a perfect day for finding your very first walking stick, and using it :)
