Dr. Ryland

Ryland fell and skinned her knee yesterday, so ever since then she has been very sensitive. She wouldn't even walk for a while last night because she was to scared it would hurt her ouchie. Today, she seems much better, but still gets concerned when you bring it up. Luckily, to keep her distracted from her own ouchie, her play rocking horse has been sick all morning, and she has been nursing him back to health with honey, coffee, ice cream, and bandaids.

Today Ryland informed me she was going to be a bus driver one day...and then proceeded to tell me she was going to also drive a forklift, and a tractor (with dada of course). Her and Champ are becoming quite the little buddies these days. I've been working a lot, so they spend a lot of time together. I'm so happy Ryland has such a great time with her dad. I'm pretty sure she wants to be just like him :)

...and he possibly wants to be just like her ;)

Moving!

This has been a busy busy week with moving! Ryland has been such a good sport, and such a great helper. She absolutely loves her new room. She loves to go lay in her bed and tell us "I'm sleeping in my own bed tonight". So far, that hasn't happened, and she's been in our bed :) Which is fine with me, because she is very cuddly :).

Ryland amazes us daily with her new crazy ideas and cute sayings. Today she hugged Alison and looked back at me and said "I love you mama, I love all of us". She is so sweet and compassionate. We can tell that she is very empathetic of others and loves to know what every one around is up too. Alison and I always laugh when we see how much she reminds us of ourselves.... We just keep loving her more and more!!!

Through Ryland's Eyes

This morning while looking through the pictures on my phone, I began to realize just how Ryland loves to take pictures. Just about every day she asks me if she can take pictures with my phone, and most of the time, she comes out with some pretty fun images! She takes pictures of us, her toys, the cat...and I'm pretty sure it never gets old to her. It's fun to see through her eyes, so I thought I would share.

It's light out!

Ryland has always paid very close attention to detail, so it's no surprise to me that she has started playing very close attention to wether it is light or dark outside and how that correlates to when we sleep. The other day I asked her if she was tired, and she responded with "yes, but it's not dark outside yet". And when she wakes up in the morning or from naps, the first thing out of her mouth is "it's light outside! Let's play!". I can't wait until the weather gets better, so we can actually go play outside in the sunlight!

We took a winter stroll the other day, and enjoyed some family picture time :) Ryland loves to go on walks, and she loves taking pictures...so it was a blast. Enjoy!
