We are now home from our wonderful vacation. It's been kind of hard to readjust to this rainy weather we are having, since we've been out in the sun for a week. However, it is nice to be home :)

Our trip was amazing, nothing but fun. Aside from meeting the characters, I would say Ryland's favorite parts were playing in Toon Town, watching parades, and riding on It's A Small World (which we did at least 5 times). She also says that Peter Pan's Flight was her favorite ride, which confuses me a little because she wanted to get off of it as soon as we got on. I think she is a little like her momma...she likes being scared.

Im so happy I didn't listen to all the people who said "don't go to Disneyland yet, she won't remember it". The memories we made are beautiful.

Disneyland!

Our first day in Disneyland was amazing, even though we had all woken up at 4am. Ryland was pretty tired by the end of the day, but I'm sure she dreamed of princesses and characters all night. We've only been here a day, and I am already 100% sure that Ryland's favorite part is the characters. She wants to meet them all by herself, and is so proud when she does. Brings tears to my eyes.

RP tells a story

Ryland has become quite the story teller. Usually she is asking us to tell her stories, but the past few nights her imagination has been running wild. Sometimes her stories even include made up songs. I'm pretty impressed :)

Busy month ahead! Champ is now working full time, so I have a few more days a week off to spend with Ryland. Her and I have had many adventures this week, and have much bigger ones next week! We went out to dinner on Friday, and then had a friend's wedding on Saturday. We spent Sunday and Monday cooking (very yummy food) and cleaning. Ryland really enjoyed "making her own food" yesterday. She sat on the kitchen floor mixing spices, flour, and other ingredients into a big bowl (something I used to do ALL the time). It's so fun sharing all these moments with her...I cant wait to share many more, especially next week when we go to Disneyland!

Brithday weekend

Ryland had a fun filled weekend.  Saturday was her birthday party at our house.  She really loved having all her friends and family over to celebrate.  She was smiling the whole day.  Then, on Sunday, her best friend Aviley had her 1st birthday party.  Ryland kept saying "Aviley is the birthday girl, and so am I!".  The girl's birthdays are only 13 days apart...just like there momma's birthdays.  I can forsee many years of back to back celebrations.  It's strange she is getting older, but so much fun.

Three!

Ryland has had a very big week. Turning 3 is a big deal around here. It took her about half a day to get used to the idea (she seemed to really like being 2 1/2), but now she seems pretty excited about the whole thing. On her actual birthday, we took her putt putt golfing, which she really seemed to enjoy. And today we had her birthday party which involved a few of her friends, food and a piƱata! Ryland wasnt able to break it open, but sure loved trying to! Silly girl.

Learning New Things

The other day Ryland insisted that she learn how to Summersault. Not sure where she got the idea from, but she was very determined. After a few tries on her own, she became very upset and was crying "I don't know how to do it".

So, I got out some pillows, and within minutes she was summersaulting all by herself :) she was so happy to have learned something new.
